Investor Charter – Research Analyst

As mandated by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), this Investor Charter outlines the rights, responsibilities, and grievance mechanisms available to investors while engaging with a SEBI-registered Research Analyst.

B. Business Activities of the Research Analyst

As a SEBI-registered Research Analyst (RA), we undertake the following activities:

  • Publish research reports based on independent analysis.

  • Provide unbiased recommendations while disclosing financial interests in securities.

  • Base recommendations only on publicly available information.

  • Distribute research and recommendations fairly to all clients.

  • Ensure compliance with SEBI’s Advertisement Code.

  • Maintain records of all client and prospect interactions.

  • Conduct annual audits as required by SEBI.


C. Services Provided to Investors

  • Client onboarding and KYC for fee-paying clients.

  • Sharing of research services’ terms and conditions.

  • Providing disclosures regarding business activity, disciplinary history, conflicts of interest, and risks.

  • Disclosure of AI tools (if used) in research services.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of client data.

  • Timely distribution of research reports without discrimination.

  • Providing cautionary guidance for complex/high-risk products.


D. Grievance Redressal Mechanism

Investors can lodge complaints in the following ways:

  1. Directly with the Research Analyst – We strive to resolve grievances within 21 days of receipt.

  2. Through SEBI SCORES 2.0 – A web-based centralized system for grievance redressal: https://scores.sebi.gov.in

  3. RAASB (Research Analyst Administration & Supervisory Body) – First-level review body.

  4. SEBI – Second-level review body.

  5. SMART ODR – If not satisfied, investors may escalate for conciliation or arbitration through SEBI’s Online Dispute Resolution Platform.

E. Rights of Investors

  • Right to privacy and confidentiality.

  • Right to transparent practices.

  • Right to fair and equitable treatment.

  • Right to adequate and timely information.

  • Right to disclosure of business, conflicts, and risks.

  • Right to clear cautionary guidance for complex/high-risk products.

  • Right to provide feedback and exit services as per agreed terms.

  • Right to timely grievance redressal.

  • Additional rights for vulnerable consumers (e.g., differently abled).


F. Responsibilities of Investors

Do’s:

  • Engage only with SEBI-registered Research Analysts.

  • Verify SEBI registration details (SEBI List).

  • Pay fees only through official banking channels or CeFCoM (if opted).

  • Review disclosures carefully before acting on recommendations.

  • Ask questions and seek clarity before investing.

  • Stay alert to risks and avoid unauthorized offers.

Don’ts:

  • Do not provide funds directly to the Research Analyst for investments.

  • Do not share sensitive account details (trading, demat, banking credentials).

  • Avoid being misled by promises of assured returns, discounts, or incentives.

  • Do not rely on market rumours or luring advertisements.
